Jungle Jam 2017: Day Two | Top Shelf Reggae

The party in the Jaco jungle continued with Day Two Jungle Jam 2017! Saturday promised some big names in reggae-rock-alternative music, and it sure delivered! Starting off the day was Congo Sanchez, a side project with Congo of Thievery Corporation who headlined the night before. Bursting with energy, the Congo Sanchez rapping lead vocalists took control of the stage, and even off it when one hopped down to dance the crowd below. Side project number two of the day was second in line, with Ryan Montbleau teaming up with the adorable Miss Haley Jane once the sun went down in Yes Darling's debut live performance. And, those two are so in sync, it's just mesmerizing to watch. Latin band Sonambulo rocked the crowd on the main stage with some heavier rock sound, followed by Roots of Creation, who somehow still had room for guest entertainers after squeezing six big men on one small stage. Twiddle kept the party going as the night when on, followed by Mike Love who took it down a notch with some introspective and inspiring lyrics. Several festival-attendees were moved to tears even. Last, but not least, the Slightly Stoopid boys out of Ocean Beach, California closed down the night with a genuinely impassioned performance. It was hard to call it a night after that (and most didn't)! See the highlights of Day Two above, and stay tuned for the Day Three gallery.
